The UV tinted Shields have both top and bottom 2 layers of protective films. It’s stardard for all face shields, buyers to use it for the first time. Please peel them both off, to have a clearer shield.
It’s not that the product is foggy or darker with the protective films. After peeling off the film, it will be clearer but still tinted. For blocking harmful UV rays(Blocking UV spectrum shield was tinted)
